I had to buy book three after reading book one. Janey is Katy best fgame I end and been in love with Len forever. This book had me my heart clenching in certain parts, Janey was the aggressor and Len was a Virgin, the author writing was excellent, I love how her books leave a meaningful thought
Janey has been in love with her best friend Katy's brother Len for years. He's always pushed her away. After Len rescues her from some guy at a bonfire who put a drug in her drink, they soon start dating. Len has always been in love with Janey, but after his mom died, he swore he'd never stay with a woman long enough to get hurt. He knows Janey will move at the end of the summer, so he decides to spend the time with her until she leaves. He didn't anticipate her changing her plans. He also didn't mean to hurt her, but he did and it may be too late to repair the damage.
Len is really a sweet genuinely great guy. But what he lost when his mom died, has been hidden from his family. Janey was a strong an likeable leading lady. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book and look forward to stories on the remaining brothers.
I've been reading the Rocky Mountain House, Six Pack Ranch books and found the reading order which included the Thompson & Sons mingled in since they have some of the same characters, (small-town life) so have been reading them along with the Six Pack. Of all the books, so far, One Sexy Ride is my absolute favorite. Pull out the Kleenex, because mixed with all the happy are some sad and then the downright Awwwwsome sweetness of Romance, that just can't keep you from shedding a tear or more.
If you've ever wondered how hard it is to break through someone else's pain, this will demonstrate it perfectly. This is probably the most tender, loving story I've ever read. Funny, tender, erotic, but sometimes it takes more strength than tenderness to make a relationship work. And how wonderful for an author to explore the idea that he could be the virgin while in his mid twenties while she lovingly teaches him how to love both physically and emotionally. Len and Janey's story is perfectly written leaving you exhausted but so positive about the end result of working through problems, that you can't help but be upbeat about how true love can exist and work.
You won't be sorry...
Ok this has so far been one of my favorite books ever. But definitely my favorite in the series so far.
Len is such an incredible and complex character. You ache for the pain that he carries with him. You want to hug him and laugh with him. And the author did something I have NEVER read in another book so far. She made him the virgin! And he's not embarrassed about it. I loved that!!
You really get a feel for the depth of love they have for each other. This is such an emotional book. I am so glad I found this series! I havent been disappointed by this author yet.
Len Thompson and Janey Watson what a pair. Len is the ultimate middle child with all the hang ups that comes with and his reason for telling himself he can never have Janey or does not deserve her breaks your heart. He is just that sweet and squishy on the inside guy. Janey is fun loving and ready to take life by the horns after spending to many years trying to get Len to see her she has all but given up on them. It takes a lot of running around each other but the do seem to find their way in the end. Exciting emotional ride for this couple.

I have read the RMH series and now catching up on Thompson and Son's series and out of all of them Len and Janey are my favorite. Len the strong silent type trying to live life with out feeling to protect his heart from the loss of his mother. If he does not fall in love he will not have to feel the emptiness of losing the love of your life, however Len's heart and love has always belonged to one girl Janey. Janey is Len's sister's best friend and she has loved Len from the first day they met. Can Len come to terms with what love is and open his heart to Janey and love her forever while having to deal with past pains and sorrow. Can Len's Dad get him to understand the good out ways the bad when it comes to matters of the heart.
