-Although, I like the book, I understand the mixed reviews. This story just isn't for everyone. I personally like crooked stories.-

I'm glad I took a risk with this book.
I had no idea what is was about but (like so many others) I liked the cover (and it was pretty cheep to buy).

Bullet points:
*Unusual story.
*Dark Humor.
*Musical quotes and poems.
*Awkward moments.

At times, there was a lack of detail pertaining to space and scenery (I am a detail junkie) but somehow I didn't mind with this story.

-Story line: High school student Charlotte was like a ghost to everyone at her school and she vowed to transform into 'Miss Popular' at the beginning of the new school year. It all seems to go her way until...

Well, you have to read the book.
I Recommend it to those who like dark(ish) stories and who are willing to give a book a chance.

Personally, I think it's a bit mature and dark for youngsters. I say 14+.

Best book I've ever had! If you haven't got this book your missing out, I hated to read until this book.
granddaughter loves it
Little wear on the cover as described, but otherwise in great condition
This sounded like a really cute story, and I bought a set of them for some of the students in my 6th grade class to read. I was disappointed to realize that it contains horrible language and a lot of sexual innuendo (some wasn't even innuendo, it was just blatant). I found the story unbelievable, as the only thing this poor dead girl cares about is getting a kiss from her crush--wouldn't she want to visit her parents, or people who actually cared about her, and not just some boy who never even knew she existed? Finally, as an adult reading this book, I felt that the author was trying way too hard to be cool, constantly name-dropping band names, artist names, and so on, to make the book as "cool" as possible.... but it really sounded like she was relying on this tactic to "develop" her characters, rather than using descriptive language.

I am pulling all of the copies of this book out of my classroom library and will probably just donate them.
If you like a book about death and what happens after it, then this is a book for u. I will say this though it is slow in the first few chapters but it really gets better to where u want to read more as to why this and that happens in the book. You will be puzzled here and there but I know you will love this book like I did. But overall I really enjoyed it and ordered more of the series to ghost girl.
I actually read the second book first after finding it at a used book store. I enjoyed the book enough to go seek out others by the same author. I am very glad to have ordered and read this book. It has just the right amount of teenage angst without being overwhelming for an adult like me to read. Humor aplenty and a good story line.
I love this book, its for young girls but...as an adult girl, love this book. As most books written for the younger generation, it comes with a lesson learned. The story is enduring and you can't wait to see what the next page holds. Wish there was a sequel. The cover is intriguing, ordered another copy for my niece and a hard copy for my growing library in the media room. Thank you Tonya Hurley for such a delightful read & story.
